Visiting the Living on Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day why not take time visiting a nursing home resident? Did you know that more than 60% of residents will not receive a single visitor this year? While it is good and right to remember the sacrifices of those who have given their lives for our freedom, it is urgent to remember those whom the world has forgotten.

 

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”   Nehemiah 8:10
