They come and they sit and they wonder which way is home and who they are talking to. But the spark of life, of humor and love still burns. They are all remembered by God though they have forgotten so much.
Be sure to embrace them, because no one else will touch them who hasn’t been paid to do so. Be sure to call them by name even if they seem to have forgotten yours. Never be afraid to use humor because the Bible tells us
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
They are God’s special children. As one nurse told me, “It is like God is turning back the clock for them.” They are losing the strength and the capacity they had as adults but we must continue to love and give to them the honor they have as; our parents, our aunts our uncles, our brothers and sisters. Never give up on your loved one. Remember that God will not give up on even one!
